Chen W.'s Journey
Chest Male Chest Liposuction
“I flew across the country for Dr. Webb and it was worth every mile. I finally have the flat chest I've wanted since high school.”
My Story
Living with Gynecomastia
I've had enlarged breast tissue since puberty - gynecomastia. It didn't go away as I got older like my doctor promised. I was embarrassed to take my shirt off, avoided swimming, and wore compression shirts under everything. At 29, I decided enough was enough.
Choosing to Travel
I researched gynecomastia specialists extensively and Dr. Webb in Miami consistently had the best results for male chest contouring. Even though I'm based in San Francisco, I flew to Miami for the surgery. The initial consultation was done virtually.
The Procedure
Dr. Webb used a combination of liposuction and direct gland excision through a small incision around the areola. This addressed both the fat and the firm glandular tissue that lipo alone can't remove. The whole thing took about 2 hours.
Recovery and Results
Recovery was about 4 weeks until I felt normal. The chest was sore and I wore a compression vest constantly. But seeing the results for the first time - a flat, masculine chest - was emotional. This summer I went to the beach shirtless for the first time in 15 years.
