Bret Baack, MD

Dr. Bret Baack, a dynamic force in the field of plastic surgery, earned his medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, where he also honed his skills in General Surgery. Following his rigorous training, he pursued a Fellowship in Plastic Surgery at Southern Illinois University, sharpening his expertise.

In 1990, Dr. Baack returned to the University of New Mexico, where he not only served as Chief of the Division of Plastic Surgery from 1995 to 2012 but also contributed significantly to the academic community through over 30 publications and multiple textbook chapters. His passion for education shines through in his role as a Full Professor, guiding the next generation of plastic surgeons.

In 2012, he fulfilled a personal aspiration by joining the Fort Collins Skin Clinic alongside his brother. Here, he blends plastic surgery with dermatology, creating a holistic approach to patient care. Outside the operating room, Dr. Baack finds joy in hiking, running, basketball, and golf, cherishing time spent with family in the scenic Fort Collins area.
