Christian Kauffman, MD

Christian Kauffman, MD, stands at the forefront of plastic and reconstructive surgery as the chair of the Department at the Geisinger Surgery Institute. His journey began with a Bachelor of Science from The Pennsylvania State University, followed by a medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School. Dr. Kauffman's comprehensive training includes an integrated plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the University of Nevada, where he garnered accolades such as the Outstanding Resident Award. His expertise is further enhanced by a fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Beyond his surgical prowess, Dr. Kauffman is deeply committed to education, serving as a clinical associate professor at the Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.
