David Martin, MD

Dr. David Zachary Martin is a dedicated plastic surgeon at MedStar Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, bringing a wealth of expertise and innovative techniques to MedStar Good Samaritan Hospital. A graduate of Georgetown University, he honed his surgical skills during a rigorous five-year residency at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Since 2006, Dr. Martin has taken on pivotal leadership roles within the hospital, currently serving as the Medical Director of the Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Healing Center and Chief of the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

His surgical prowess extends to a diverse range of reconstructive procedures, with a particular focus on lower extremity surgery involving the ankles and feet, an area where he has developed specialized skills. Dr. Martin’s commitment to patient care and surgical excellence is matched by his active involvement in hospital governance, previously holding the position of President of the Medical Staff, further underscoring his dedication to advancing healthcare in his community.
