Gary Branfman, MD

Dr. Gary Branfman, MD, is a plastic surgeon whose multifaceted background enriches his medical practice. Earning his medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine in 1984, he honed his surgical skills at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami before embarking on a specialized fellowship in burn and critical care at the United States Army Institute of Surgical Research. Under the mentorship of Col. Basil Pruitt Jr., he earned recognition for his significant contributions to the care of thermal injury victims.

Before his medical career, Dr. Branfman explored the arts, studying radio, television, and film in New York City. This creative foundation informs his surgical approach, blending an artist's eye for aesthetics with a surgeon's precision. In 1991, he founded The Victoria Plastic Surgery Center, where his commitment to ethical practice and compassionate care has earned him accolades as one of South Texas’ top plastic surgeons.
