Heather Erhard, MD

Dr. Heather Erhard, MD, FACS, is a dedicated plastic surgeon with a focus on breast reconstruction and aesthetic surgery, serving patients across New York and Connecticut. With a comprehensive background in general surgery, she honed her skills at Montefiore Medical Center, where she trained under the esteemed Dr. Berish Strauch. Dr. Erhard’s expertise extends beyond breast surgery; she is also proficient in body contouring, particularly for post-bariatric patients.

Her pioneering spirit is evident in her introduction of perforator flap techniques at Montefiore in 2004, where she led the way for several advanced reconstruction methods. Dr. Erhard's collaborative work with Dr. David Greenspun has resulted in over 1,500 successful breast reconstructions, a testament to their commitment to individualized patient care.

As an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, she shapes the next generation of surgeons while actively participating in quality assurance and resident training.
