Dr. Marc E. Walker seamlessly blends surgical expertise with a commitment to education and innovation in the realm of hand and plastic surgery. As the Songcharoen Endowed Chair of Plastic and Reconstructive Hand Surgery at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, he not only advances surgical techniques but also passionately shapes the next generation of surgeons. A graduate of Ole Miss, Dr. Walker honed his skills at Harvard Medical School, where he earned both his MD and an MBA, reflecting his dual commitment to medicine and healthcare management.

His extensive training includes a Plastic Surgery residency and a fellowship in Hand Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Yale University, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of complex surgical challenges. Board-certified in both plastic and hand surgery, Dr. Walker’s clinical focus encompasses both adult and pediatric care, emphasizing innovative approaches and aesthetic considerations. His dedication extends beyond the operating room; he is actively involved in international mission work, serving on the Executive Board of Hand Help, Inc., where he champions access to surgical care worldwide.
