Timothy Mickel, MD

Dr. Timothy Mickel, MD, FACS, brings a wealth of expertise to the realm of plastic surgery, deeply rooted in his lifelong connection to Monroe, Louisiana. A third-generation Monroyan, he combines local pride with extensive training, having graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University before earning his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he distinguished himself as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

His rigorous five-year general surgery residency at Parkland Hospital in Dallas set the stage for his advanced plastic surgery training at Parkland/UT Southwestern Medical Center, where his research on frontal sinus fractures garnered national recognition. Since returning to his hometown in 1990, Dr. Mickel has honed his focus on cosmetic enhancements, breast cancer reconstruction, and cleft lip and palate repair, ensuring that each procedure reflects his commitment to patient-centered care.
