James Lee, MD

Dr. James Lee, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, has been a vital part of the GBPSA team since 2006. His academic journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Boston University, followed by a medical degree from Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Lee honed his surgical skills during a General Surgery residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School before specializing in Plastic Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Lee shared his expertise as an Assistant Professor of Plastic Surgery at West Virginia Medical School, contributing to the education of future surgeons. A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he is committed to advancing the field of plastic surgery through both practice and mentorship.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Lee embraces his passion for photography, capturing dynamic moments on the sidelines of his sons’ sporting events. This blend of artistry and precision defines his approach to both surgery and life.
