Dr. Roger Smith is a dedicated general surgeon at the helm of the Beleza General Surgery Department, where he champions a patient-centered philosophy. With over a decade of hands-on experience, Dr. Smith has honed his expertise in both laparoscopic and open surgical techniques, specializing in complex hernia repairs, thyroid surgeries, gallbladder removals, and more. His journey in medicine began at the University of Texas at Austin, where he graduated with honors in Human Biology before earning his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in 2003. Following his residency completion in 2012, he became a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery.

Beyond the operating room, Dr. Smith balances his surgical precision with a love for family and sports, often found on the baseball diamond or rugby field with his wife, Robyn, and their two sons. In his downtime, he also enjoys fly fishing and woodturning, showcasing a creative side that complements his surgical skill.
